Level 2 Award

 

WSET's Level 2 Award in Wines is a beginner- to intermediate-level qualification exploring wines, suitable for industry professionals and wine enthusiasts.

This qualification is aimed at beginners wishing to learn about a wide range of wines or those seeking to build on the introductory knowledge gained with the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines. You’ll gain knowledge of the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world, the regions in which they are grown, and the styles of wine they produce. Through a combination of tasting and theory, you’ll explore the factors that impact style and quality and learn how to describe these wines with confidence.

 

Course Delivery

This qualification has a minimum requirement of 28 hours* of study time:

16 hours of delivery time with a WSET course provider (classroom or online)

11 hours of personal study and revision

A 1-hour examination

Assessment

A one-hour closed-book examination comprised of 50 multiple-choice questions.

On successful completion of the examination you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin, and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo.

Spend of £500 - £1500 per month: £365pp

Spend of £1501 - £2500 per month: £310pp

Spend of £2501 - £4000 per month: £270pp

Spent of £4001+ per month: One student free per year. Any student thereafter: £240

Please note: No shows will be charged. Payment must be made in advance. All costs include exams and certificates.  Any resits must be paid for by the individual. All prices are exclusive of VAT.
