About Producer	The Principe de Viana group was founded in 1983 as a joint venture between the Navarra government and local private investors in order to put the Murchante co-operative on a commercial footing. One of the most progressive wineries in what was then a slumbering Spain, they hired the services of 'Flying Winemakers' such as Nick Butler to produce modern, fruit-driven wines that appealled to a younger, more fashionable international market.
